Detection kit for Monkeypox virus is designed to detect DNA from
Monkeypox virus in specimens such as serum or plasma,
vesicular or pustular lesion fluid collected from individuals.
Monkeypox virus ( MPV) is a double- stranded DNA, zoonotic virus
and a species of the genus Orthopox virus in the family Poxviridae,
and causes a human disease that resembles smallpox.
Positive test results are indicative of the presence of Monkeypox
virus DNA; whereas clinical correlation with patient history and
other
diagnostic information is necessary for the determination of
patient infection status. Positive results from this test do not
rule out bacterial
infection or co- infection with other viruses.
Negative test results from the test do not completely preclude
Monkeypox virus infection and should not be used as the sole basis
for
patient management decisions. Negative results must be used in
combination with clinical observations, patient history, and
epidemiological information for a medical decision.
Experimental operators should have received professional training
in gene amplification or molecular biology method testing, and have
relevant experimental operating qualifications. The laboratory
should have reasonable biological safety precautions and protective
procedures.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The detection kit for Monkeypox virus from Singuway can be used for
assay development,verification,validation,manitoring of day-to-day
lest variation,and lot-to-lot performance of mo lecular-based
assays. The quantitative format aflows for the generation of a
standard curve for quantitative PCR(qPCR)to determine viral load.
The kit contains a specific ready-to-use system for the detection
of the Monkeypox Virus.Fluoresce nce is emitted and measured by the
real time systemsoptica unit during the PCR.
STORAGE CONDITIONS AND VALIDITY
This kit shall be stored at the temperature - 2 0 ± 5 ℃ in dark and
avoid repeated freezing and thawing ( if freezing and thawing , must not
exceed
4 times), with a validity period of 12 months . It can be stored at
2~8 ℃ after opening the cover, with a validity period of 30 days .
The kit shall be transported in an ice box .
